“There’s no architecture in Boulder!”
This exclamation I recently heard from a Realtor I know and respect who has been working in Boulder and surrounding communities for 15+ years.
I am always baffled by the fact that the majority of Realtors I work with don’t have the first clue about architecture. Even worse, they don’t see the need to learn about it. Anyone with even a slight interest in such matters who has driven around Boulder will notice immediately the wide variety of architectural styles…from Victorian to Contemporary Modern.
My personal interest is in Modern Architecture (International, Mid-Century and Contemporary) and I spend an inordinate amount of time exploring Boulder and the Denver Metro area for mod gems. This blog will cover my forays into Boulder…mostly with pictures, but also with information on Architects and Developers when possible.
The most obvious place to start (in my mind) is with Charles Haertling, so my next post will focus on his Boulder residential creations….
